Alberto "Al" Lucas is an attending student at Winchester University and a member of the Black American Forum. He is a minor character in the indie film Dear White People and a supporting character in the Netflix adaption series of the same name, portrayed by Jemar Michael.

Being paid a visit by Lionel Higgins and Brooke, Al and roommate Rashid Bakr were interviewed on their connections to a magazine missing letters. Though Al attempts to fake a cold, he is quickly discovered to have held Sorbet captive in his room, forcing him to confess to kidnapping Kesley's therapy dog. He expressed being annoyed by the dog but eventually grew to love her as his own, wishing to plot a way of returning Sorbet without appearing "like an asshole." Presenting his cellphone to Brooke, he also expressed that he was not AltIvyW and purposely trolling Sam, as he was a victim of the attacks, a picture of him dressed as Eminem for the halloween party.
Al, before given his phone back, was told by Brooke not to be sex-negative, giving him her number after coming across private images of his penis. After giving Sorbet farewell kisses, he releases her, everyone watching as she climbed out through the dormority window and bolt out into campus. Though he quietly whispers to pretend he never knew of the dog's whereabouts in awkward tension, Rashid expressed wishing he had opened the window sooner.[2]
